I have been re-reading the Service Standard recently and admiring how it really nails what is important when thinking about the delivery of a digital product not just in the launch but over its whole lifetime.
I feel charities in particular should think about applying some of these principles even if they have no in-house software delivery capability. A lot of these ideas would make sharing throughout the third-sector a lot easier and would avoid a reliance on "enterprise" software or building the same thing over and over again.
