Linux Mint on the Dell Latitude 7300

I recently bought a second-hand Dell Latitude, which apart from a wobbly screen, generally seems in great shape.

I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon from a USB stick, which was a straight-forward choice from the one-time boot menu. I blew away the Windows installation and chose to encrypt the drive.

The whole process took less than 90 minutes. There was no need for any additional drivers or setup, everything worked out of the box. The OS looked good and has been easy to use so far.

I'm intending to use it for development and while it only has 16GB this is actually more than I get on my work equipment. Everything I've tried in terms of installation and compilation have been quick with no problems so far.
